Zero defects. That’s our baseline standard.
It’s not enough for Schafer Gear Works to provide you with a top-notch quality system. We must exceed your expectations. That’s why every gear or shaft we deliver is usable on your shop floor.
Our manufacturing and quality assurance teams do not compromise on our processes. From the start, your job goes through a specification review to make sure we use the correct materials, dimensions, tolerances and applicable engineering standards. Your job is executed using a rigorous verification process from first-piece to final inspections. Then we back it up with inspection reports for every work order from one piece to 1,000+.
Staying on the forefront of the latest available technology is important to you and us. So, Schafer Gear Works invests heavily in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and quality systems to keep the latest gear cutting, gear grinding and support equipment working on our South Bend and Roscoe floors. As a result, we meet your most stringent quality standards with ISO 9001:2015.
This exceptional quality assurance is based on:
Highly-skilled teams that are 100% committed to meeting or exceeding your quality expectations.

We look at our systems with critical eyes, listen to our team members’ recommendations for process improvements and implement new ways to apply our knowledge. It’s why you can trust we will do every project right that you give us.
Staying current with changes that impact you.
